Adidas Brings Us A SLVR Lining
February 3, 2009 11:33 am
Is Adidas stepping in to save fashion week? The sportswear behemoth is launching SLVR, a new line—with its own Soho storefront to boot—during the New York collections. Unlike its collaborations with Yohji Yamamoto and Stella McCartney, the latest effort comes without a famous designer. Expect streamlined basics in bold colors, priced well below Y-3. But what’s a fashion week launch without a party, you say? Fear not. Adidas plans to fête a lucky few, though not, as rumored, with indie popsters Say Hi to Your Mom, who played on the Mark Segal-directed video that accompanies the collection. Here’s hoping for some front-row-worthy kicks we can sport to hit the pavement—not the town car—between shows.

This is going to be a great store!! Glad to see such a big company making the shift towards a sustainable product line. Our company actually designed the hangers that they are going to use. They are 100% recyclable and 100% cool/stylish. Check out how hip we are:
