Blasblog: A Double DJ B-Day

With their weekly DJ residency at Lit—not to mention gigs at Dior and Visionaire parties—turntable artists Cassie Coane and Harley Viera Newton have quickly become staples of the downtown scene. So it’s only fitting that when the two of them celebrated their 21st birthdays on Tuesday night (yes, the friends were born on the same day), their party was packed with the crew they play music for. Zoe Kravitz, Mischa Barton, a couple of Misshapes, Hunter Parrish, and Magnus Berger all piled into the Arrow Bar on Avenue A. “I think they’re the coolest girls in the world,” Barton said of the birthday girls. “Take my word for it.”
