Blasblog: Sean Lennon Will Not Pull a Kanye This Week

When it comes to the quirky musician making himself overly available to the front rows of fashion week, Kanye West has truly set a precedent: The hip-hop star has now made his presence known at the Ready-to-Wear collections and menswear shows, and last month he hit up his first Couture shows. So when Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, was spotted at three shows (Charlotte Ronson, United Bamboo, and Threeasfour) in the first two days of fashion week, we were wondering if the bow-tied and behatted singer/songwriter was following in Kanye’s (Louis Vuitton-clad) footsteps. “Nope, I’m done after today,” he revealed at the United Bamboo show. “But I get the draw—these are fun, and fabulous, and full of pretty women.” Not that a pretty face and a runway are all the draw he needs—he is friends with the people behind the three shows he hit recently, including the entire Ronson family (he and Mark have collaborated on music in the past). “I have a day job though,” he continued. “I’ve started my own record label and have a new project that will have me in the studio starting Monday.” Kanye, the ball is back in your court.
