Blasblog: Tinsley Returns To The Runway

After taking a brief hiatus from the fashion and social scenes lately, Tinsley Mortimer—in a Schiaparelli pink McQueen dress with her hair pulled back in a loose bun—was showing off what she’s been doing with all her free time: bangs. That’s right, we can officially report that the trademark curl has taken a backseat to straight locks with an eyebrow-grazing fringe. “I know, this is huge news,” Mortimer deadpanned. But with a new hairdo comes an urge to show it off, which Mortimer will be doing tomorrow night on the runway for Richie Rich’s debut collection. “I love Richie,” Mortimer explained. “And I think this is a whole new moment for him: more wearable, better price points.” Although this won’t be the first time that Mortimer has found herself on a runway—she took a few turns for Rich’s Heatherette collections in the past—she admits catwalking never gets easy. “When I’m up there I’m just thinking, ‘Don’t embarrass myself, don’t embarrass myself,’” she smiled, “But then, I’m chanting that to myself most of the time anyway.”
