Christopher And Donatella To Meet On The Catwalk

Donatella Versace has long been a fan of Christopher Kane. The Scotsman snagged a post as an accessories consultant with the Italian at the beginning of his career and worked on her Atelier Couture collection. And while some fashion gossips conjecture that Kane may one day replace Donatella at Versace’s helm, we say all in good time. For now, baby steps: Today in Milan, word leaked from the Versace camp that Kane has designed a line of bags and shoes for the Versace Versus A/W ‘09 collection, a fact confirmed by Kane’s London PR. The goods will be shown at market appointments on Sunday, and the official announcement will come from Donatella this weekend.
