Love At First Sight: Gryphon Spring Notebook

February 10, 2009  2:36 pm

What: Standard fashion week equipment gets a colorful update from San Francisco’s Gryphon Stationers with this limited-edition notebook.

Why: Not to knock the ol’ Moleskine standby, but this season I’ll be jotting fashion week musings in this decidedly more modern—and more fun—grass-green notebook with a bicoastal pedigree. Spread throughout its luxuriously textured pages (would you expect mere flat paper from a bespoke stationery house?) are wry pop-art drawings from Brooklyn-based illustrator Joel Holland, certain to give you a smile even if you’re scribbling a serious hatchet job on the facing leaf.

Where: To purchase one of the 150 hand-numbered editions, call (415) 565-7125, or visit www.gryphonstationers.com for more information.
