Philip Crangi: Soon To Be Always Available
February 2, 2009 1:43 pm
This Wednesday, our favorite bearded jewelry designer, Philip Crangi, will launch his e-commerce site at gilesandbrother.com. Though his wares are available at Barneys Co-op’s Web site, Crangi decided to open e-shop because of the many phone calls his studio receives from people asking how they can get their hands on his bijoux. As a little grand opening-cum-Valentine’s Day treat, Crangi is offering free monograms on his Railroad Spike (pictured here) and Pied-de-Biche pieces. To further mark the occasion, we asked Crangi to tell us about his favorite destinations on the World Wide Web.
1. Nomenusquarterly.com: “A beautifully curated fashion and art site—very inspiring.”
2. 1stdibs.com: “A little bit of everything amazing. It’s all for sale, and they just added vintage jewelry so it has become an invaluable resource.”
3. Alibris.com: “Because I love books! And I can find everything I need here, especially with the ISBN number.”
4. Bibliodyssey.blogspot.com: “An incredible resource for all things graphic.”
5. And, of course, Style.com: “My window on the world.”
