What: Do Frame Tape by Martí Guixé, $15 a roll
Why: With the art market tanking (along with real estate, jobs, housing, blah, blah, blah), now may not be the best time to shake out that 401K piggy bank and invest in an Elizabeth Peyton. Thank heavens for Dutch design company Droog. Their third freestanding store opened in Soho this week, and at last night’s cocktail party we found something on site for any art lover. Catalonian designer Martí Guixé’s Do Frame Tape is instant wall decoration for those of us who can’t be heavy hitters at a Christie’s auction (or for those of us who can and may have missed this week’s YSL sale). No matter your budget, at these prices you can frame anything, anywhere.
Where: 76 Greene Street, New York City.
