Sparkling, Flat, or Couture?

February 6, 2009  5:24 pm

Need a little lift while you’re out there trying to freshen up your fashion week wardrobe with as little expenditure as possible? Swing by Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue windows to see this bubbly glass water bottle, a collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier, Baccarat, and Evian. It’s the second time that Evian has asked a designer to “dress” an haute couture bottle. (Last year it was Christian Lacroix.) We know that bottled water is kind of politically incorrect these days, but environmentalists and aesthetes alike will be happy to know that there are only five of these worldwide. The Bubble bottle will be at BG until Sunday, when it takes a little tour of Manhattan to the Soho Grand and Buddha Bar, before heading back home to Paris.
