Bow Ties And Etiquette Books At Social Primer’s Opening Night

March 26, 2009  12:25 pm

K. Cooper Ray, the dashing gent behind men’s style and etiquette site Socialprimer.com, celebrated the debut of his new brick-and-mortar shop on Wednesday night, welcoming guests such as Lucy Liu, Perrey Reeves, Amanda Ross, Jamie Tisch, and Crystal Lourd. “Everyone’s trying to grab me, but all I want to do is look around and shop,” said co-host Lulu De Kwiatkowski. “It’s just fantastic and harkens back to a classic time.” The diminutive Social Primer space, which is located inside West Hollywood floral haven Lily Lodge, features bar sets, monogrammed luggage tags, etiquette books, chess sets, and custom-order extras such as playing cards, stationery, and cocktail napkins. “Isn’t it wonderful?” asked Ray of the dress code, which called for bow ties. “They just make people happy, so why not?”
