Why: Occasionally, the solutions to our all-too-common sartorial dilemmas are, in fact, quite simple. In lieu of overstuffing a tiny, albeit event-appropriate evening bag, why not simply use the same purse we grabbed earlier this morning? Well, now we actually can (sans emptying), thanks to BOYY co-designers Jesse Dorsey and Wannasiri Kongman, the brains behind the Slash, a limited-edition, dual-function shoulder bag/oversize clutch that literally goes from day to evening. While a zipper-expandable, suede gusset allows the wearer a little versatility size-wize, it’s the double-sided flap that really sold us: python-embossed lambskin on one side and a simpler, supple napa leather on the reverse. Depending on how we’re feeling—and our company—the casual-luxe vs. party-ready design conceit makes for a seamless style transformation.
