St. John’s Fresh Caviar

While the timing might be questionable (read: recession), the taste certainly isn’t (read: refined). Park Avenue-to-Palm Springs favorite St. John is launching a new line—Caviar—in an online-only trunk show that starts today (in-store sales to follow in the coming months). The collection includes a range of classic, elegant silhouettes in a goes-with-everything all-black palette. With prices
starting at $995, they hew more closely to investment pieces than fast-fashion fixes, but these future-heirloom separates are much more likely to outlast the downturn.
