A Sparkling Turnout For Shaun Leane’s Diamond Brooch

April 23, 2009  2:58 pm

What does Kate Moss wear to the Met Ball, when the theme is a tribute to muses? Could it be a multimillion-dollar diamond brooch, designed by Shaun Leane for Steinmetz jewelers? Maybe. We spotted her in spangled Balmain alongside Alexander McQueen, Roland Mouret, Philip Treacy, and Savannah Miller at the Altitude Bar in London last night, where the “White Light,” all 40.68 carats of it, was on display. “We have a number of interested clients who will always be looking for that investment item, recession or not,” said Steinmetz’s Lior Levin. “We are going on a road show, first Monaco, then Japan—but I think that it would look particularly good on Kate, don’t you?” Tell us, what wouldn’t?
