Getting Reacquainted With Ann Taylor

April 2, 2009  11:03 am

We had a feeling it was more than just our animal instincts when we did a double take on this pretty much perfect leopard-print wiggle dress in the window of Ann Taylor in the Flatiron the other week. We prefer the term “cheap chic” to the less-sexy phrase “midlevel fashion,” but it doesn’t matter what you call it; this morning The New York Times confirmed we’re not the only ones who think Ann Taylor, Talbots, et al. are starting to look good. Really. And don’t think we’re not going to spend the rest of the morning trying to figure out how to get our hands on those high heels from Liz Claiborne without having to brave the crowds at Macy’s.
