The Lost Boys

Big-wave surfer Danny Fuller swapped water for concrete last night as he flew into New York for the opening of his exhibit The Lost World, a series of photos from his travels with a seductive, abstract quality that quietly underscores his concern for the planet’s dwindling resources. Held at Nick Dine and Scott Murphy’s stunningly sleek new gallery-cum-event space in West Chelsea, the show drew city types like Matt Dillon, Mike Diamond, and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, as well as Fuller’s crew of buddies, including model girlfriend Tori Praver and surfer Nathan Fletcher. The presence of so many chiseled dudes certainly caused a ripple among the night’s female attendees. But whatever happened at the after-party, held at a private apartment, stays at the after-party. The exhibition, meanwhile, runs through April 23 at the Murphy and Dine Gallery.
