Costume Institute Red Carpet Update

May 5, 2009  6:50 am

After all the anticipation, the countless reports of who’d be wearing what, and which designers would be squiring which celebrities, the Costume Institute ball is over. We had many favorites. Kate Bosworth’s Veronica Lake locks, fire-engine-red lips, and lacy Stella McCartney were a bright spot; as were Jessica Stam’s coppery Rodarte (it matched her hair) and Daria Werbowy’s smoking-hot sequined smoking dress. On the vintage tip, we liked Marisa Tomei’s understated Adrian, Natalia Vodianova’s silk Fortuny, and Stella Tennant’s Helmut Lang, which she borrowed from the designer’s personal archive. Trendwise, there was short, short, and long at the same time, boy-for-girl suitings, and electric brights with Donatella Versace leading the charge in turquoise. 1. 1. Jessica Biel … Whoa !
    Amazing , Amazing, Amazing….!

Keep it up Jess and when you need a new Stylist to keep you in the Best Dressed list … give me a Buzz :)

    2. Anne Hathaway … First thought that came to mine was .. BOND GIRL ! Total Sex Vixen in the top ten shot of her. Nice touch with the hair.

    3. I love Giselle … so beautiful, so nice ! but the shoes did not do anything for me .. they seemed out of whack with the dress.

Last but not least … Thank you Style for keeping us in the loop ;*)
