Dark Victory?

When someone says black lace, I think of Sicilian widows, not spring dressing, but it might be time to reconsider after Liv Tyler and Kylie Minogue both worked the red carpet wearing curvy filigreed sheaths in deepest noir this week. And don’t forget Stella McCartney, Kate Bosworth, Kerry Washington, and Anne Hathaway at the Met ball. What do you think of this unseasonal trend?

Laird just one word it’s horrorble, maybe a new trend but just like you wrote you automatically think of Sicilian widows or someone who has to go to a funeral, but then I prefer a longer lenght of the dresses, the one Kylie wore. Arriverderci
By Valerio on 05/9/09 at 2:17 amThe issue with black lace for Spring is that instead of looking fresh and chic, you end up looking like you threw on the one clean dress in the back of your closet that still fits (especially with all those black accessories). I think if Kerry’s dress had the color on top of the lace and not underneath, it might have actually been interesting as opposed to just confusing. Overall, I’ll pass.
