Sisters In Bra
Sloan Barnett’s interest in the Lying-In Hospital at New York Presbyterian is truly personal—she gave birth to two of her children there. But the intimate story she had to share with the guests at a benefit luncheon hosted by Akris and Bergdorf Goodman today (which raised $450,000 for the institution) had to do with a more recent drama. In town for just 36 hours, Barnett showed up at Cipriani only to be told by her mother that her brassiere was totally exposed in back. When Akris CEO Caroline Brown (clad in a chic winter-white suit identical to the one that Angelina Jolie wore to a premiere of Benjamin Button) got wind of the wardrobe malfunction, she took Barnett backstage and swapped lingerie with her. No word on whether they traded back after the Swiss brand put on a 42-look presentation of its Fall collection.
