The Michelle Watch: At The Ballet

May 19, 2009  11:50 am

Michelle Obama wore Azzedine Alaïa to ABT’s Spring Gala last night, where she joined Carolina Herrera, Caroline Kennedy, Blaine Trump, and Renée Zellweger as an honorary chair. When we asked balletgoers about their favorite First Lady fashion moments, only Bryant Gumbel came up blank: “If I did know, it’s probably something I shouldn’t say,” he explained. “I’d have to turn in my guy card. It’s OK to notice. It’s not OK to remember things like that.” To find out what Rachel Roy, Veronica Webb, and others had to say, check back later for our full party report.
