Blasblog: Shopping For A Good Cause At Tod’s
A couple of weeks back, I mentioned that the new scene in the Hamptons was Soul Cycle’s spinning classes. Little did I know the class rapport went well beyond physical fitness. For Allure editor in chief and avid biker Linda Wells, the 9:30 a.m. weekend classes were how she got involved with the R.E.S.T. Initiative, which brings massage therapies into chemotherapy treatment rooms. “One of the instructors was suffering and realized that one element was missing from the healing, the power of human touch,” explained Wells, who hosted cocktails and a shopping party with Derek Lam at Tod’s Madison Avenue boutique last night to benefit the organization. Speaking of hands on, Tod’s tan leather D-Bag was the evening’s most sought-after item.
