Thakoon Addition Quickly Subtracting Itself From Racks

Thakoon Addition hit stores last week and we’ve been hearing some very impressive tales of sales. (It can’t be hurting that a slew of Resort shows have created a sort of fashion week lite. We’ve definitely spotted editors in TA.) Panichgul’s best-ofs line has the windows at Barneys New York on Madison Avenue (pictured here), where fashion director Julie Gilhart reports, “Thakoon [Addition] has been selling so well.” Gilhart specifically mentions the asymmetric hemmed Falling Petals dress for $895 and the floral lace draped pocket tank frock for $785. Bergdorf Goodman’s Roopal Patel tells us much the same story. “Let’s just say there will be many PYTs running around in Thakoon Addition,” she says. Further downtown, Kirna Zabête is eagerly awaiting its shipment. “We’re expecting it any day,” says Beth Buccini. “But people are asking about it.” Meanwhile, Thakoon Addition Spring 2010, which hits stores with Resort in November, is ready for editors to have a look and place their orders. Check out this sneak peek, above right.
