Yea, Nay, Or Eh: Karen O At Bonnaroo

What: A printed bodysuit with matching kimono
Why: Bodysuits are everywhere, and the hills of Tennessee are no exception (for more on the trend, see our Bonnaroo Style Notes). As the festival’s most fashion-forward performer (with David Byrne in a tutu taking a close second), Karen O paired her graphic top with a pair of zebra-print leggings—and we do mean graphic (check out the placement of that hand print).
What do you think of the style maven’s festival gear? Would you go so body-con?

I say Nay… She might be a singer; I like to see sigers, pop artists, ladygaga; wearing interesting dresses, but I think they should be able to combine them well… and that kimono with those leggings is a no no

It doensn’t matter how they are as a singer, but can they shock people and with their song maybe touch the hearts and mind of people. I doubt that, but we never have to judge a performer of what he/she is wearing, its all about the song etc. Look at Emmylou Harris, a star in country music and beloved by millions has she to dress herself to become a star. I get it… you’re eccentric and sing a indie-rock band. But please stop with the eye assault. Could you perhaps wear something that co-ordinated? Couldn’t find anything to go with that tu-tu bracelette? So you just decided to pair it tiger striped leggings and an abstract romper. Makes sense.
