Yigal Azrouël Learns Lesson From Wall Street

“Green,” as Gordon Gekko once said, “is good.” Or maybe it wasn’t green he was talking about; maybe it was greed. Either way, Yigal Azrouël fans can hop on eBay today to flex their muscles both green and greedy: The designer is auctioning off men’s and women’s looks from his Spring and Resort ’09 collections to benefit the National Resources Defense Council. In addition, Azrouël has partnered with Alternative Apparel and artist Dov Talpaz (who created the backdrop at the Yigal Azrouël menswear show in February) to make hand-screened tees that will be up for auction.
