Couture Club: Style.com And 1stdibs.com Exclusive Haute Couture Preview

July 6, 2009  3:41 pm

Compared to 1stdibs, eBay is for amateurs. Founded in 2001, the site quickly became the online destination for high-end antiques and twentieth-century design. Last week, 1stdibs announced it was adding vintage couture and designer fashion to its stable. As expected, they have nothing less than a thoroughbred lineup on offer, as fashion expert and independent curator Clair Watson corralled dealers like Resurrection, The Way We Wore, The Paper Bag Princess, Mark Walsh and Leslie Chin, and Rare Vintage to participate. Style.com’s coverage of the Fall 2009 haute couture season starts today—with a special bonus: 1stdibs.com is offering Style.com readers an exclusive preview of specially selected vintage couture items that will be available for purchase starting Wednesday. You can only see these haute little numbers by clicking here.
Vive le couture!
