Fashion’s Night Out: A Call To Action
July 14, 2009 9:59 am
Calling all retailers: The last day to register to participate in Fashion’s Night Out is August 1. As we’ve previously reported, on September 10, stores across New York’s five boroughs and around the world will be staying open late, and many of them will be hosting special events to reel in the customers. And by “special” we don’t mean ho-hum wine and cheese. We mean the kind of irresistible “special” that will incite a fashion lover who’s temporarily hung up her Fifth Avenue spurs to hitch up the saddle and high-tail it into stores. What will she see? Alexander Wang will be instructing shoppers on the art of runway modeling at Barneys’ Madison Avenue outpost before hightailing it over to Bergdorf’s on Fifth to sign T-shirts. Meanwhile, down the block at Saks, both Donna Karan and Carolina Herrera will be fêting their new in-store boutiques with assists from beauty gurus Bobbi Brown and Frédéric Fekkai. And that’s just the beginning of the fun to be had; so far, more than 300 stores in the city have registered to participate. To get in on the action and sign up today, visit http://www.fashionsnightout.com/register.html.
