Alex Wang Launches E-Commerce (And Style.com Readers Get First Dibs)

Fashion’s It boy Alexander Wang just can’t sit still: It seems like he’s always off receiving an award or being photographed with one of his numerous model gal pals. But you’d be wrong to assume Wang’s an all-play-and-no-work kind of guy. This Wednesday, he’ll add stateside e-commerce to his portfolio. “I love the idea of shopping in bed,” he told us. See? He’s even busy when he sleeps. The shopping section of the site will feature the full bag line, including the elusive Coco mini duffel and Donna hobo, as well as shoes and women’s T by Alexander Wang Web exclusives. There’s also a multimedia component: Peter Szollosi shot a behind-the-scenes mini-film documenting a recent photo shoot by David Armstrong and model Vincent LaCrocq (that’s a still, above) for men’s T by Alexander Wang, a new collection that debuts this Spring. And if that’s not enough to make you log on, Style.com readers can start shopping on the site 24 hours before anyone else.
