Plastic Fantastic

August 14, 2009  1:27 pm

It’s now T-minus 26 days until the official start of New York fashion week, but the scoops have started rolling in. Alice + Olivia’s Stacey Bendet, who was just named to Vanity Fair’s Best-Dressed List, told us that the Plastiscines, a French act, will perform at her Spring show. “I love girl bands,” Bendet said, “and the Plastiscines have a sound and look that represents everything I was feeling as I was designing the collection. I was watching their video and thought, I want my show to look like that.” With a sound that’s been called “sexy candy-punk” it’s easy to understand Bendet’s attraction.
