Rodarte’s Scientists, Spike Jonze’s Jewelry, And More…

August 31, 2009  12:19 pm

Dasha Zhukova’s Pop promises to fill the “stem-cell scientist” void so achingly evident in the fashion world with a Rodarte shoot inspired by just that. Stem cell scientists, that is.

The Brits recommend wearing leather (hint: it’s going to be big for fall) like “a louche French actress.” So, not like a Hells Angel? [Guardian U.K.]

Spike Jonze may be a film guy, but he’s been linked to fashion types (ex-wife Sofia Coppola then, Michelle Williams now), so his film-inspired accessories collection for Opening Ceremony was really just a matter of time. The film is Where the Wild Things Are, which means fangs, feathers, and horns. Grrr. [W Editors’ Blog]

Do you miss Olivier Theyskens? Yeah, us too. Get yourself an O.T. fix this January when Olivier Theyskens: The Other Side of the Picture, a photo-heavy tome from Assouline with pics by Julien Claessens, comes out. And sigh. [WWD]

Victoria Beckham’s new dress collection lands in Bergdorf’s today, and with it this swingin’ video (sorry, too easy). [Bergdorf Goodman]

  3. Are you out of your mind? One said I like the shoes Spike is wearing another one Spikes accessories sounds hot.To wear gyms under a very bad tailored suit is the most terrible thing which you can do. I’m glad Victoria B. lands in Bergdorf but I prefer the new collection of Kate Moss for Topshop. The ads are in black and white but that’s just the magic of these pics and shows a strong collection. And just as Madame Beckham she lands her collection today at all the major Topshop stores.
