Yea, Nay, Or Eh: Agyness Deyn’s One-Two Punch

August 18, 2009  4:54 pm

It’s been a slow month party-wise in New York City. Maybe that’s why a few members of the social set pulled out floor-grazing frocks for the Cinema Society’s Inglourious Basterds screening and Standard Hotel after-party last night (click here for a slideshow). We say it’s never a good idea to outshine the guests of honor, and even at the film’s L.A. premiere last week, Diane Kruger and Angelina Jolie went cocktail length or shorter. Which is why we think Agyness Deyn’s tee and high-waisted black leather skirt combo strikes just the right note. The fact that it’s a Rocky Horror Picture Show T-shirt and the movie in question was Quentin Tarantino’s exceedingly bloody revenge tale proves the platinum-blonde pixie has style and a sense of humor. What do you think?

  6. Completely in sync with you, she could step on the street wearing that and still be well blended with the environs!

  7. I can appreciate that when you look at her, no matter what, all you see is her. She knows her style and dosn’t try to look like anything else…but…I think this one was a little to much. Please don’t sacrafice fashion for a “sense of humor.”

  8. I’ve been wary of Agyness’ style lately but I actually enjoy this outfit quite a bit. Suprisingly simple for her. Still true to her style but almost “casualy elegant.” Very cute.

  9. This Peter Pan of the modeling industry is always getting what she wants and that is attention. Further I have nothing to say because I personally hate her style but above all her attitude. Grazie

  11. I don’t know what it’s all about you, she’s lying about her age, her name etc. And you’re still are fond of her??? This British lady has a darker side then you’le ever will known. For you to figure that out, Grazie

  12. She looks great. But I think a sheer red lace button down shirt and black stilettos would have been so much more fabulous.
