Carolina Herrera Makes It Official

September 25, 2009  5:16 pm

After 28 years of upping this country’s elegance quotient, Venezuelan native Carolina Herrera made her American status official, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen this morning. If you run into the designer on Seventh Ave., be sure to ask her to list the 13 original colonies and the amendments that make up the Bill of Rights (we kid, we kid).

  1. Congratulations Ms. Herrera, it is an honor to welcome you as a new United States citizen. We are all better for it. Thank you.

  2. I can understand that she’s now a naturalized U.S. citizen. If you’re a native of a country which is ruled by an dictator like Chavez (which is chosen for life), I would do the same. Congrats Mrs. Herrera, welcome in the country of freedom and democracy. Go on the way you did the last decades with your designs and you will beloved by a lot of people, in and outside the U.S.A Ciao
