Give Me Liberty, Or…

September 26, 2009  9:01 pm

Just when you thought you had all the Liberty-print gear you needed—your sundress from Cacharel, your matching bustier and cigarette pants by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, your A.P.C. x Liberty clutch, your Nike high-tops, etc.—along comes one more product to make your microfloral-loving heart wrench with desire. Toward the end of London fashion week, a new pair of sunglasses found its way into the Liberty of London store: Retro Super Future’s modified Wayfarers in a Liberty print. They are—to put it frankly—awesome. The frames, which retail for £120, have Carl Zeiss lenses and come in three colorways. At the moment, they’re only available at Liberty of London and through the company’s Web site, which, alas, the Liberty bell has not stopped ringing. Come January, the store will stock Repetto’s Liberty-print jazz flats and Rupert Sanderson’s Liberty-print gladiator sandals.
