No Rules At Sachin And Babi

“It all started when my three-year-old daughter got upset that she couldn’t wear her sparkly silver party shoes to a play date,” Sachin Ahluwalia explained at the preview of Sachin and Babi’s Spring 2010 line. “She told me she should be allowed to wear whatever she wants.” It struck a chord with the designer, who, along with his wife, Babi, created a collection that’s all about playful mix-and-match pieces that are easily adaptable to any wardrobe. I’m particularly fond of the bejeweled macramé necklaces looped casually around the wrist as bracelets, and these silver foil shorts—no matter the age, sometimes a girl just needs to put on something shiny.
