The Rodnik Band’s Philip Colbert Goes Guerilla
September 20, 2009 10:13 pm
After we posted a video interview between The Rodnik Band’s Philip Colbert and philosopher Alain de Botton, they’ve apparently decided to launch a collection of philosophical fashion together. We’re not quite sure what that will look like—tees with de Botton’s face and quotes on them?—but we’ll be sure to bring you the scoop when we find out. Meanwhile, Colbert’s latest video project had him staging a guerilla fashion show in London’s National Gallery yesterday. The models wore white suits and dresses painted with the outlines of guitars and Greek columns, their pretty little heads topped with bowler hats, in what the designer called a spoof of The Thomas Crown Affair. It sounds more like the Pied Piper to us. According to Colbert, “The (museum) security could not stop all the tourists filming the show; hundreds of people started to follow us.” Click above to watch the video.
