Yea, Nay, Or Eh: Super Coordinated
September 25, 2009 6:04 pm
As we mentioned yesterday, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, and Claudia Schiffer hit Milan’s department store La Rinascente earlier this evening to celebrate the launch of D&G’s new fragrance Anthology. Though they’re not wearing a stitch in the campaign, for this occasion, this trio of über-models dressed themselves in matchy-matchy looks of black jackets, white tees, black pumps, and a dash of distressed denim. Of the three, we’re partial to Eva’s adorable slashed cigarette jeans. (If we had her legs, that’s all we’d wear.) But we kind of love this picture as a whole. The visually calculated supermodel moment has a whiff of their nineties heyday. It might come off as reaching for past glory if they didn’t look so inhumanly fantastic, but the fact remains that they do. What do you think of the super-coordination? Please discuss.

I don’t care if these 3 wore matching d**dos and nothing else they would still look amazing no matter what. Give them Vogue covers now!!!!!

By julialovandresses on 09/26/09 at 1:01 pmI don’t know if it was an super-coordination, I only know that the pic of these 3 SUPERMODELS is fabulous. So I don’t have to discuss with no one, if you see these Supers they can wear what they want at any occasion (and location) they always looks great. The models of today can be jealous on them, I wont mentioning any names but insiders know what I’m talking about. Arrivederci
By Valerio on 09/26/09 at 1:35 pmVery nice, very timely, very wearable and absolutely welcome!
So… can a supermodel make super-fashion without a label?
[hint: no one mentioned who made their things matched, this time. Simply an editorial omission? Or the conspiracy of the year?]
By NotMod on 09/26/09 at 1:49 pmThanks to all for your supermodel-adoring comments. There are some pretty compelling girls out there today but they definitely don’t make them like they used to. Also, all three are wearing D&G head to toe.

I think that the blazer’s, white t-shirt and matching shoes is where they should have stopped. I know there supermodels but the mini skirt, long skirt, and skinnys need to go. I think their bottoms make them look tacky. All three bottoms look cheap, maybe its the color that throws me off but ew, seriously…. And…was this a casual affair???
By dearestmich on 09/28/09 at 4:14 amthe models are all wonderful - at least ms naomi campbell (etro) and eva herzigova (louis vuitton) have walked recently, but shredded clothing was
By mercuryloge on 10/11/09 at 11:01 ams-o-o-o-o tired, even before it was regretably invented - poor mr christophe decarnin has fallen for this lure - the following outfits from his SS10 balmain show veer so far towards overdone, shallow, shredded street styles, that it is difficult to see balmain beneath: 1, 4, 5, 7, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24 - 26, 30, 34 & 36 - the other outfits are quite brilliant and original ! \,,/
I still love all the original supers but really not loving Claudia’s skirt. Boring. Looks like something my 66 yr old mum wears with a Polo shirt and sweater thrown over her shoulders. Not that there is anything wrong with that look but for Claudia! All wrong.
