Brian Reyes: City of Angels to City of Light

October 1, 2009  4:19 pm

Before heading to Paris for sales meetings, Brian Reyes and his newish team, including first-ever president Stephanie Cozzi, went west for a trunk show at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, his exclusive stockist in L.A. The designer is lowering his prices for Spring and the collection benefited from the welcome boost. It’s no surprise, then, that Reyes and co. were all in excellent spirits at a dinner last night in the designer’s honor. Reyes was thankful for the moment of respite with friends like Tracee Ellis Ross and stylist Nicole Chavez. “Nicole was one of the very first people to support me out here,” said Reyes. “She actually went into Barneys and bought my dresses as soon as they first had come out.” Here’s to guessing which one of Chavez’s well-dressed starlets will be wearing Reyes’ bleeding-heart print first. We hear it’s going to be big for Spring.
