Yea, Nay, Or Eh: Camilla Belle In Alexander McQueen

Camilla Belle certainly caught our eye when she showed up at the L.A. premiere of 2012 in a ruffled and crystallized Alexander McQueen dress (look 26 from Spring 2010) accessorized with Cartier jewels. Minus the alien makeup and the insanely high platform shoes, the effect is much softer, dare we say sweet. What do you think of the look? Are you missing the prosthetics, platform booties, and Princess Leia-on-acid hair?

i think it’s gorgeous, and looks just fine in a simpler setting - i respectfully placed the great mr. mcqueen in a close 2d tier among my fave paris shows, along with chanel, givenchy, nina ricci & balenciaga (1st were lanvin, yves saint-laurent & valentino) - but mcqueen wins hands down for his extraordinary work with color, matched this season only by basso & brooke, ms mary katranzou and perhaps erdem ! \,,/

I had no idea it could look this soft judging from the runway. Hah, the funny thing is that she still IS wearing insanely high platforms… just nothing like the show…

Yeah now about the shoes, they look good but not wearable with this dress, so it was a wrong choice of her. This is my personal opinion of mine. Arrivederci
