Yea, Nay, Or Eh: Rihanna’s Life Aquatic
At last night’s Glamour magazine Women of the Year Awards, Rihanna ditched the tight, black body-con look that’s been her hallmark for the past few months and opted for a tight, white body-con look. To be fair, this is the most demure look we’ve seen from Rihanna in a long time, and we’re loving the, yes, glamour. The fishtail gown is from couturier Stéphane Rolland’s Spring 2009 collection, and while other women might get lost in all that sculptural detailing, Rihanna looks like a sci-fi warrior out for a night on the town. Well, a semi-restricted night on the town: When the singer accepted her Woman of the Year award, she admitted that she had to get to the podium from backstage, as opposed to the stairs, “I couldn’t possibly make it up here in this dress. First I have to say that she made a big comeback after she was beaten by her socalled lover/friend. Her new pain fueled album called -Rated R- which will be released on Nov. 23 is wonderful.It seems to me that she wanna get ride of the pain and sorrow she had with her former friend. I think her new look has everything to do with it, and I have to say she looks marvelous. Not in the last place because of the gown of Mr. Rolland, it fits her very well and she looks stylish I even can say sophisticated in this gown. Very good choice of her, Bravo Rihanna I only can agree with Alison it’s glamour but it’s perfect. Arrivederci
Rihanna looked absolutely stunning. By far one of her best fashion moments of the year. This gown is worthy of the yearly Metropolitan Fashion event or even the Oscar’s. She from out of the dark into the light and she’s beaming!

I love it. I think it totally fits her personality. I don’t think this is a dress that anyone can pull off, but she looks great.
