Holiday Shopping’s Gold Standard
The countdown’s on: Eight shopping days left until the big day, and if you’re anything like us, there are a few holes on your list. (OK, if you’re really like us, there are a lot of holes on your list.) Never fear, here’s Anna Sheffield to the rescue. The jewelry designer—who works on her eponymous collection as well as the lower-priced Bing Bang line—has opened up her Soho showroom to a few friends and collaborators for a one-stop-shop holiday sale. Sheffield’s offering pieces from both of her lines (like the Bing Bang Viviane cuff, pictured); the ladies and gents of Fort Greene’s Dossier have taken over a side room, now stuffed with covetable cocktail dresses from lines like Nomia, Duskin, and Samantha Pleet; and Lindsey Thornburg has got Pendleton-wool capes and hoods, as well as a selection of sexy new knit dresses. For those other folks on your list (you know, besides yourself), there are printed, eco-friendly linens from Ortolan Organic and prepared foods from artist and chef-about-town Anne Apparu. Word on the street is that her homemade honey-kombucha vinegar cures all ailments. Good thing, that—all that frantic, last-minute shopping could give you a headache if you’re not careful.
Sale runs December 17 and 18, 12 to 8 p.m., and December 19, 2 to 8 p.m., at 153 Lafayette St., NYC, buzzer 4.
