Who Says Print Is Dead?

December 28, 2009  11:00 am

Not Riccardo Tisci—the Givenchy creative director has just revealed his Spring 2010 ads, which spotlight the intricate print work he sent down both the men’s and women’s runways for the season. The new campaign, shot for the second time by Mert and Marcus, features Tisci muse and mainstay Mariacarla Boscono and the baby-faced Natalia Vodianova, who again proves herself up to the task of getting as edgy as the job requires. She’s an unexpected choice, but those are the bread and butter of Tisci’s time at the LVMH label: Last season’s campaign featured Boscono, Ranya Mordanova, Iris Strubegger…and Adriana Lima.

  2. Hmmm does this remind anyone else of American Apparel? I love it and love Givenchy, but it was the first thing that came to mind

  3. As an out and proud maximalist, I hope this collection has far-reaching influence. The solid black of the fashion pack is so often such a cop-out. Tisci is coming into his own, and this excellent collection was proof of it.
