No, Really: This Denim Is Banana’s

January 13, 2010  3:46 pm

If you’ve ever bemoaned the gulf between premium denim and Forever 21’s $9.50 jean (yes, you read that right), a trip to your local mall could be in order. The latest in Banana Republic’s efforts to gently reshape its image centers around the New Blues, a well-rounded collection of classically cool—and American-made—denim staples. The brand sent us back to the office with a pair of the $120 sandblasted slouchy skinnies, and after a test drive, we can attest that the roomy-but-still-slim fit is one we’ve only seen on pairs at double the price. Other options for women include a trouser pant, straight leg, boot cut, boyfriend, and an ultimate skinny.

Available in Banana Republic stores and online at www.bananarepublic.com.

  1. Just proves denim doesn’t need to be over $400 to be acceptional.
