On Our Radar: Loquita Shackle & Chain Scarf

January 13, 2010  2:00 pm

After years spent working in branding for fashion houses such as Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, and many others, Sara Rotman officially launched her accessories line Loquita this month. Her lively printed silk scarves, pocket squares, and grandpa-inspired ascots have an old-world elegance, but thanks to the in-the-now prints and colors, these are anything but dusty. I love this shackle-and-chain printed scarf, which reminds me of a vintage Hermès piece, punkified. It’ll lighten up my heavy winter coat now, and look just as good over a trench when spring finally arrives.

$268, available at www.loquitanyc.com.

  1. Congratulations to Sara on launching her line of scarves! That’s an interesting design - a perfect pattern that doesn’t reveal it’s larger identity right away. Scarves are an essential part of everyone’s wardrobe and the best thing about them is that there are so many options - there are millions of colors, shapes and patterns.
