On Our Radar: Tom Binns V Corto Moltedo Sunday Best clutch
Tom Binns is, no question, the costume jeweler of the moment—a moment that doesn’t look likely to end soon, with his eagerly anticipated Alice in Wonderland collection coming this spring. Fashionable girls will no doubt be breaking their teacups to get at those pieces, but I’m just as excited about Binns’ first bags, made in collaboration with Corto Moltedo. The Sunday Best clutch does evening chic in the designer’s signature smirky style (yes, that’s Christ affixed to the side); only five will be available at Binns’ NYC store, and another five at Corto Moltedo’s Paris flagship. Binns also fashions the attached spray of chain and crosses into earrings for his Real Deal collection, but I wouldn’t recommend matching your ears to your bag to anyone but the most devout.
