Yea, Nay, Or Eh?: A Rosy Outlook

She wasn’t a nominee, but actress Taraji P. Henson looked smashing nevertheless at the People’s Choice Awards last night. Her Alberta Ferretti Grecian column gown is sophisticated, ladylike, and refined: True, the PCAs may not be the Oscars, but a red carpet is a red carpet and we appreciate the sense of occasion. (A few starlets who shall not be named opted for cocktail-casual—or worse, prom-night fussy.) What’s more, Henson, who can occasionally over-accessorize, strikes just the right balance here: A few choice jewels and a small clutch let the dress’s details, like its elaborate ruching, really shine. She’s got our vote for best outfit. What about yours?

She looks AMAZING. Stylist Sam Spector totally hit the nail on the head. So good!
By mak251 on 01/7/10 at 2:46 pmThe silhouette works, but the colour does her no justice. To check out my ratings on the best dressed and best makeup of the night, please visit my blog:

The one shoulder & Grecian look is an overdone trend & I wish we could move away from it.

To me, the choice of tint makes the dress memorable among all the drapes and ruffles of the fresh past: the familiar and beloved almost-skin is not a ‘nude’ this time around. If I could, I would!
