Yea, Nay, Or Eh?: Let’s Do The Twist

January 12, 2010  3:57 pm

Mila Kunis hit the red carpet yesterday at the L.A. premiere of her new film The Book of Eli, and judging by her sarong-style Vera Wang dress, she’s been keeping up on the Spring trends: There’s a definite lingerie feel to the skirt’s peekaboo tulle panels, not to mention its twisting, up-to-there hem. We’re not always in favor of exposed thighs—and are thankful that the Gaga-inspired pants-less trend seems to be, at last, on the wane—but Kunis manages to show some skin and keep it classy all at once. (Basic black and perfect heels don’t hurt on that front.) What do you think: Is this dress sheer brilliance, or a back-to-the-bedroom bust?

  2. i think this lovely outfit just verges on the side of tasteful and acceptable for certain public events - unlike wonderful ms. valletta’s orange outfit, this one just doesn’t look like a miniskirt - mercuryloge (twitter)

  4. Not only does she pull the look off gracefully by not overdoing the makeup or accessories she is GORGEOUS in the Dec/Jan issue of BlackBook! Kudos to her for being a fun actress and having the comedic timing for Family
    Guy.

  5. i love the contrasts of textures in this design, the heavy fabric at the top draped from the one shoulder creates the perfect shape to continue the soft and smooth translucent fabric. its sophisticated yet subtly sexy!!! love it!!

  6. I’m thinking that I love this. It’s more daring than it is demure, but certainly not inappropriate.

  7. Mila looks hot and trendy all at once. It’s a perfect balance. Lingerie feel but not too scandalous. Plus she’s Russian and as a fellow Russian, we can , generally, get away with more. Furthermore, the look gets extra credibility because it’s from Vera Wang whose designs are tasteful and elegant. If it’s good enough for Vera Wang, it’s good enough (perfect, actually) for Mila on the Red Carpet. cheers to being on the borderline of provocative.

  8. Is it me or is Mila getting more beautiful with age? This dress looks fine on her.
