Yea, Nay, Or Eh?: Top Of The Ops
January 21, 2010 4:00 pm

Do not adjust your set: That’s just British soap star Zoë Lister’s eye-popping Alexander McQueen dress, from the designer’s Op Art-inspired Resort collection. We’ve got to hand it to the Hollyoaks star, who chose McQueen for last night’s National Television Awards in her native Britain: She’s certainly going bold with Spring’s pattern trend, and she deserves credit for dialing down her accessories to let her dress take center stage. All of that said, with a print that bold, it’s hard to say if Lister is wearing the dress or the dress is wearing her. What do you think: Is the actress’ outfit a sight for sore eyes, or just an eyesore?

I personally love this print and the dress, I’m not into the accessories, but the make up looks great.

By Arbelbashloberant on 01/21/10 at 4:56 pmI like that she took a risk, I think that it kind of works i agree with ToucanBoutique that the make-up looks nice but the shoes need to match the power of the dress.
By Zara_K on 01/21/10 at 5:59 pmFor me it’s a Nay! I like loud patterns but this one hurts the eyes.

that one is really smashing - the great mr. alexander mcqueen has an extraordinary sense of color, and the lines are cut beautifully to follow the hues
By mercuryloge on 01/21/10 at 8:33 pmI think the dress would look better shorter … and with white pumps. Bring on the kitsch!
By aliciahamilton on 01/21/10 at 10:59 pmI think the dress is great but I would prefer it on someone with more height. The hair is too golden, lips too red, accessories too black. I think a girl with a casual/younger style would pull it off better.
By abranova on 01/21/10 at 11:46 pmUuuhh… Nay.. Allmost can´t see the girl.. Is that the purpose!?
By TLichtenberg on 01/22/10 at 7:16 amI am sorry for her. She look like a “Don´t go in the middle” traffic-sign…

By TLichtenberg on 01/22/10 at 7:54 amthere is too much going on with the lip color and the accesories.
By bookiefresh on 01/22/10 at 9:11 ami think its quite a deviation from the regular diva style looks on the red carpet especially with pastels snatching the eye now..its funky, maybe a little too bright but mcqueen made n she wore it!!!!bravo!!
By sangz on 01/22/10 at 9:26 amWow very bright but a great fashoin statement

doesn’t flatter her figure. but i like the dress!
By futurefashionzoey on 01/22/10 at 12:18 pmLove it! But that’s just me, because anything McQueen involved gets me so easy.
By Douglass on 01/26/10 at 4:02 pmAnd I say the dress is not wearing her, there is a balance on it, bacause after all, you don’t wear McQueen and expect it not to steal the half of your spotlight.
