Full Mettle Jackets

It’s 9:30 in the morning, New York is covered with snow, and at Nonoo Lyons’ first-ever presentation, at the Breslin, none of the models are wearing pants. Well, that’s better than coffee for a wake-up call, but the room is cozy and well heated, and jackets are the label’s bread and butter, anyway. Misha Nonoo and Deborah Lyons presented 25 well-tailored versions for Fall, each so good it was hard to pick a favorite. This season, they introduced fur, as well as a few dresses, leather leggings, a skirt—there’s a full outfit right there. The quilted leather jackets are buttery-soft, and the army-green parka with fur collar looked so warm, I wanted to wear it out the door. I’ll have to wait for that, but not for the duo’s Spring collection—thanks to their new e-commerce site, it’s a click away.
