Edie’s Back

March 30, 2010  4:11 pm

Bad news for the eBay profiteers: Phillip Lim’s much beloved Fall ‘09 Edie bag, which has apparently been making the fortunes of a few free-market desperados, is coming back for Fall ‘10. That’ll be hard to swallow for those who paid as much as $3,500 for a faux auction-site version, but good news for anyone disappointed by last season’s epic sell-outs. (Word on the street is that Lim’s Tokyo store sold 30 of them in two hours.) Those might have something to do with the bag’s famous fan base, which includes Alexa Chung and Diane Kruger, or with its liberal scattering of still-on-trend studs. Either way, Edie’ll be back in stores June 17, for the more-affordable-than-eBay price of $695. And wild things, this season, you can get it in leopard, too.
