Yay, Nay, Or Eh? Charlize Theron, Flying High

Flying the friendly skies lost most of its glamour around the time of shoe scanning, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to turn up in a sweatsuit and trainers—especially if you’re angling for an upgrade. Take a cue from Charlize Theron, who managed to look polished after a half-day journey from LAX to Charles de Gaulle (which, we hear from Just Jared also included a two-hour delay and an extended wait at baggage claim). A trench coat is an ideal topper when commuting between two climates, while a beret and wraparound shades hide any evidence of a long nap. Toss your belongings in an oversized leather tote—Theron’s is Dior—and you could pass for a jet-setter. What do you think? Would you turn up for your flight in a similar look, or do you proudly (and comfortably) flaunt your favorite fleece?

The trench coat is a wonderful classical, like this high heels. The bag is amazing!

it’s kind of difficult to see much – i don’t know this delightful woman, but she looks fine – i don’t normally like trousers on women, but these look nice – nice shoes, but high heels aren’t good for you – i think she looks unobtrusively distinguished …>:) twitter

Looks great but it’s a bit harder to rock the look in cattle class. :(

she loooks wonderful, if not original. shoes are bit much for travel though, no? maybe I am too practical. running through an airport in those wouldn’t be fun!

  7. mikeijames says:

for the shoes alone she should win a medal. that she’d wear anything constricting whatsoever on a flight that long makes her superhuman.
