Yea, Nay, Or Eh? It’s A Cinch

March 16, 2010  1:25 pm

Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick emerged as one of awards season’s better-dressed stars, with a far better batting average, dress-wise, than many of her fellow actresses could claim. We were curious to see if she’d keep up the streak once the carpets were re-rolled, and judging from an appearance in Japan today to promote Up in the Air, looks like the answer is yes. Kendrick looks great in a flouncy, strapless number in chilly pastel blue, and her matching peep-toe platforms are to die for. But we’ve got to take issue with the thick belt she’s finished the look off with, which makes the petite actress look short-waisted. What do you think? Is Kendrick’s look red-carpet ready, or does it have you singing the blues?

  1. The color and fabric are beautiful, no doubt but I believe the format a little rectangular dress, eventually compromising the ways of the actress. The shape of the neckline favors the shoulders and neck and I imagine that from the waist, the fit was straight and closer to the hips, surely the outcome would have been spectacular.

  2. I actually think she looks pretty frumpy, and not a fan of that hair. Love the shoes though.

  3. Love the dress, and I do like the cinched waist, but on her short-waisted frame, it looks a bit boxy. Love the shoes!
