A Weeklong Week, Etam Gets Eva, And More…

What Miuccia wants, Miuccia gets. And Miuccia wants seven days of Milan fashion week. Prada, Armani, and the biggest names in Italian fashion have agreed to space out their shows to ensure a full week next season. [Vogue U.K.]

Just a short comment about the seven days of fashion shows during the Milan fashion week. It’s not only a good idea of Ms. Prada (and the others) but also necessary with the new and upcoming young Italian designers. Though my only hope is that the bigger names in Italian fashion spread their shows over the week and not in 1 or 2 days. So that you get a mix of upcoming and already established designers during the Milan fashion week, by the way Anna Wintour did already (I think) 2 years ago such an suggestion, which I found at that time marvelous but Mr. Borelli the president of the CNdM in Italia had some ridiculous arguments against it. Now Mr. Borelli has to take it or leave it and have to admit that he was wrong a couple of years ago.
